Question for Eastside folks. Our kitchen cabinets are solid wood but super dated, oak from the 90s. My wife wants a full new kitchen, I think we could keep the layout and just swap cabinets and counters to save money. Did anyone do a partial kitchen remodel in Bellevue? Budget is maybe forty to fifty thousand, and we'd like the work done before the holidays when family visits. Worth it or should we just go all in?

We had the same debate at home, and a partial remodel worked for us. Our layout was fine, so we kept the plumbing where it was, which saves real money. We used New Day Construction's Bellevue Kitchen Remodeling team and swapped the old oak for Waypoint cabinets and put in Cambria quartz counters. They talked us through what gets expensive, mostly moving plumbing and gas lines, and what doesn't. The kitchen looks brand new and cost a lot less than a gut job. Honestly, if your appliances are also old, price them in now, we ended up replacing ours six months later and wished we had done it together.
