Hey. We live in a condo in South Lake Union with a narrow galley kitchen that's honestly beautiful on paper but awful to cook in. Two people can't pass each other. We want high-end finishes, but mostly we need the space to work better. Is it possible to do a luxury kitchen remodel in a condo without moving plumbing, and did anyone go through HOA approvals for it?

Hey. Small kitchens are where good space planning really earns its keep. We did our condo in Belltown through Alta's Seattle Kitchen Remodeling team, and they reworked the layout without moving the sink or gas line, mostly by changing cabinet depths, adding a slim pantry wall and switching to a panel-ready fridge so the room felt wider. Stone counters and better lighting did the rest. They also helped us put together the documents our HOA wanted, which took about three weeks. Honestly, in a condo the building rules on work hours matter a lot, our crew could only do loud work midday. Now two of us cook together without the hallway dance.
