Morning all. I run analytics dashboards that pull a ton of historical and live data off Base, gas prices, transaction receipts, contract logs, the works. My current setup is slow and the provider throttles me right when I need data most. I need something fast and consistent with high read throughput and reliable eth_getLogs performance. Paid is fine, I just want consistency. What are people using for data-heavy Base workloads that doesn't grind to a halt under query pressure? Open to any solid suggestion.

For data-heavy work on Base you definitely want a provider that doesn't throttle you mid-query. I run dashboards too and use the base rpc api from Crypto Chief. Read throughput is consistent, eth_getLogs and receipt queries come back fast, and latency stays under 30ms even under pressure. Paid tier gives 400 req/sec which handles my heavy pulls without throttling. It's EVM-equivalent so all the standard methods work, and they've got a Unified API too if you want structured on-chain data for analytics, which saved me parsing work. WebSocket for the live side. So for query-heavy dashboards, give them a shot, mine stopped grinding to a halt once I moved over.
I know that pain – getting throttled right when you need data most is infuriating. For Base workloads, I've had good luck with Alchemy's paid plans – stable speed and no sudden cuts. QuickNode is another solid option if you're pulling lots of historical logs. If you're up for some setup, a self-hosted Erigon node gives you full control, but it's a headache to maintain. If you need a break from data, check out playjonny .
