How Can Clinics Assess Illumination Uniformity Before Buying LED Lighting?

I’m helping a clinic compare LED lighting options, and one thing I’m trying to understand is how to properly assess illumination uniformity before making a purchase. Brightness alone doesn’t seem enough because uneven lighting could create darker areas or shadows during clinical work.

I think clinics should first check the manufacturer’s technical specifications for illuminance, beam distribution, color temperature, and color rendering. If possible, it would also be useful to see a demonstration or test the light at the actual working distance. The consistency of light across the intended treatment area should be considered rather than judging the fixture from a single bright spot.

While comparing options from a Medical LED Light Source manufacture in india, I would also look at build quality, expected operating life, heat management, adjustment flexibility, and availability of technical support. Pricing should be compared along with the specifications and warranty rather than choosing solely on the lowest initial cost.

I’d also want to know whether the manufacturer can provide test reports or documented performance data and whether replacement parts or servicing are readily available.

For those who have selected clinical LED lighting before, what measurements or specifications did you check to assess illumination uniformity? Is an in-person demonstration important, or is the manufacturer’s technical documentation usually enough?
