Nobsound lacks bass and looses a few db when tone control is enabled. Bass on Nobsound has to be at 3oc to match stock HK3490 but still lacks a few db mids through treble. This can probably be fix by setting all 3 tone controls to 3oc. (Nobsound Default vs EQ) graph the tone knobs are all at 12oc.
But all along, it was the rectifier on my power amp. The amplifier gets quite hot. Even the audio transformers are almost too hot to the touch. I expect the tubes to be hot and the power transformer. But there is enough heat that it conducts onto the audio output transformer case. This is too hot I feel to put the amplifier in the shelf on my desk.
